Accreditation
No.LG4165 www.exorgroup.co.uk
Exor was established in 1997 to provide an efficient, outsourced supply chain service to Central and Local Government, Housing Association, Private and Public Sector Organisations, encompassing all categories of expenditure with all types of suppliers, ranging from Sole Traders to FTSE 100 companies.
Exor's supply chain programme is specifically designed to enable organisations to best meet targets and obligations in the areas of efficiency, economic development, regeneration and procurement risk management.
In conjunction with this capability, Exor is committed to build a local, regional and national database of suppliers and consultants. Part of this process does involve a requirement for supplier organisations to be assessed. This is designed in order that Exor can provide risk and compliance assurance with reference to the relevant legislation and financial health targets.
This increased scrutiny applies to all businesses that work within and for the Government Sector. This has led to a far more extensive and thorough set of procedures to be followed by Procurement Officers in checking the background and quality of suppliers they choose to work with. These checks or "accreditation standards" should be applied to all suppliers, both existing and new.
Completion of the accreditation process helps in a number of ways:
Suppliers receive tender opportunities simplifying the bidding process Visibility of service offerings on the desktop of procurement officers Reminder and support service to ensure that your accreditation status is maintained to the standards required
The financial stability of Exor was secured early in 2003 with a multi-million strategic investment by Barclays Ventures, the Venture Capital investment arm of Barclays Bank. This investment provides Exor with the necessary capital to develop the infrastructure and technology to service the entire UK Public and private sector.
